Won’t they be more likely to accept a claim if I have one?

The answer to this question depends on the nature of the claim and what coverages you have chosen for your home, car, or business. For instance, if you have been with an agent for years, but they did not advise you to purchase water backup coverage (or left it off to get you the lowest rate), no your claim will not be covered. Additionally, our carriers have covered multiple claims for clients within weeks/ months of moving coverage to our agency. The details are what is important, not the amount of time with a certain insurance provider.
